ALEXANDER'S BIRTHDAY BLITZ!!!!!!! *April 10-17*

Alexander will turn 6 years old this week---this is also the final days of our iPad2 giveaway. Coincidence? Nope!  Alexander has $7,837 in grant money (thank you to his fundraisers, prayer warriors and sweet Anya--fly high in heaven beautiful girl).  Total program costs where we are headed are about $24,000. Our Family Sponsorship Page is $8852.60.  We have also have an additional $1,000 in the waits for us as well. Our personal savings has $1,412.00 in it as well from candy sales and iPad2 options. As of this post, we have $19,101 in all grants and savings combined. If, during this birthday blitz celebration, we can raise just $4,899 our grant will be fully funded. FULLY FUNDED!!!  Can you imagine? I barely can. God has rained down his blessings in financial provisions for this adoption in ways I could have never dreamed.

So, here is the deal, for Alexander's 6th birthday if you donate one time---any amount---I will give you 6 options for the giveaway. If you have $1.00 to give, you will earn 6 options, if you have $100 to give you will get 6 options. "Well, that doesn't seem fair", you might say especially for those who donated already. I agree it doesn't seem fair at all. It is no more fair than the fact that my son, my child who is waiting for me, is locked in an mental institution because he has a tad more genetic material than the people who chose to put him there.

It isn't fair that he has turned 6 years older over the years and NO ONE has ever sang him HAPPY BIRTHDAY. NO ONE has ever given him a cake. NO ONE has celebrated his LIFE!!!!!!!!!!! Well, you know what? I AM!  I AM CELEBRATING HIS LIFE and I AM HOLDING TRUE THE TO PROMISE GOD PUT IN MY HEART THAT ALEXANDER IS MEANT TO BE OUR SON.

What better way, right now, to celebrate his life than to fill his fund full so that Shawn and I simply have to wait and trust in God to get us to his country to bring him home? Our dossier documents are compiled and will be apostilled and returned to me by this weekend (save for our homestudy, immigration ok, state clearances, CSP and POA's). Those last documents cannot be done until we have the homestudy and state clearances.

I would have never imagined that 2 months into this we would be where we are today. God is a mover and a shaker!!!  He can provide this funding if it is His will. I know that full well, I am simply trying to keep it fun for everyone. So, are you ready for a birthday BLITZ?  I am!!!!!!  One day, I can tell Alexander all about this amazing journey and YOU will be a part of it!

We are going to be selling Jacob Warner art prints for our fundraising efforts. I blogged previously about taking Jacob down to Lake Orion, MI to WillowsEdge Counseling & Art Center so he could paint a print for us to sell online with a portion of all proceeds going to help us bring Joshua home. The gals at WillowsEdge did us a huge favor by offering up their services to help our cause and have been working hard at getting his prints up and ready to sell. Daniel 2H

Last October, after a long personal hiatus from the Reece's Rainbow website, I returned to looking over the faces of the lost children locked away in Eastern European countries. My eyes locked on this child.

My heart sank, he is gorgeous. GORGEOUS. He looks an awful lot like my Joseph. He is just months older than my Joseph and Jackson. My heart went quickly from sinking to hurting; literally, aching. I wanted to do something. ANYTHING. I knew Shawn and I weren't ready to adopt so I did the next best thing. I contacted Reece's Rainbow about becoming a prayer warrior. I committed to praying him home and I secretly wished it would be ours.

I still pray for him, I still ache for him to know his mommy and daddy; but I know now that he is not meant to be ours and Alexander is. Our family has been so blessed by the outpouring of love and support. I thank you all so very, very much. I have another request. Can you help with Daniel? Daniel 2H?

Will you PRAY for him to find his mommy and daddy? He is literally LOST without them. Please PRAY, if you are led, will you commit to donating a small amount each month to his grant until he comes to his forever home? Any amount? Will you share his face? You may be the one person that know his mommy...just like I was the one that knew Peter's mommy. Will you remember his face? Will you never forget the work at hand for all of these children?

Please, I am begging you as a mother on a mission to save her child. I am just one person--I am just as small as you are. But together we can be a force to be reckoned with especially with God on our side. Daniel may never know you but his life can be forever changed because of your commitment to him.

Alexander was still in a baby house/orphanage last year in July 2010--however, our son has been transferred to a MENTAL INSTITUTION and we need to get to him as soon as possible which means we need our fund to be full quickly also. Literally, every, single day he spends in the institution is robbing him of his achievements. He will regress quickly with little or no stimulation. Pictures of the institutions are not pretty. Some kids are tied to beds all day long, some are drugged to keep them quiet, some are left to their own devices and become nearly feral. His safety is at risk; his life depends on us rescuing him and GOD providing a way. While we do believe God will bless this journey, we also know we must be diligent in seeking what he has to offer us.
