Please, PLEASE, I beg you.....

My heart cannot take it, I cannot see through the blur of tears flowing from my eyes. I have said it before, I just cannot visit Reece's Rainbow often because my heart just hurts too bad when I do. But today, I was looking at a blog No Greater Joy Mom and wanted to share it with as many people as possible. This woman is a prayer warrior and and orphan warrior too. She is on a mission to save these children who have NO HOPE.

NO. HOPE. Yes, it is harsh, but sadly this is reality. Without out prayers without movement, without tears these children have no hope. No chance of survival. What can you do today?

Lord, hear my prayer, please find Yulia a home. A home where she KNOWS love...even if it is for just one day. Let that one day be the most beautiful day of love poured out on her. Let that one day of love be enough to wash away the lifetime of loneliness she knows as life. Amen.

Get a leg up!

I gotta admit, I LOVE stories like this one. Everyone needs acceptance, and this is ACCEPTANCE. This is making a dream come true. This is LOVE. This is FRIENDSHIP. This is life. We need more of this. GO, IKE!!!! And kudos to every boy on that field, you have made this momma very proud.

I am not that woman........

Many of my friends think I am a strong woman, capable of anything I put my mind too. I am not that woman...

My heart breaks for those children who are not loved because society thinks they aren't worthy of love. If I could do just one thing in my lifetime, it would be to rescue every child from an orphanage and find them LOVING homes. But, no matter how much I put my mind to it, I cannot accomplish this. I am not that woman.

I would love to eradicate ignorance for children born with disabilities, but no matter how much I put my mind to it, I cannot accomplish this. I am not that woman.

I want to help parents understand a child with a disability is not a horrible secret to be ashamed of. But, no matter how much I put my mind to it, I cannot accomplish this. I am not that woman.

I want to take cancer away forever. But, no matter how much I put my mind to it, I cannot accomplish this. I am not that woman.

I want families to never have to bury their child, ever. This is not something any parent should ever have to do in their lifetime. But, no matter how much I put my mind to it, I cannot accomplish this. I am not that woman.

All I can do, is pray. Pray for those babies left behind to be closed away from the world. Pray for acceptance of everyone in the world, for us to all be on a level playing field in one another's eyes. Pray for those families struggling with accepting their perfectly "imperfect" child and for them to accept that so-called imperfection as PERFECTION at it's finest. Pray for strength and healing on Earth for those precious souls battling cancer. And pray for the families whose angels here on Earth are called home too soon for us left here.

Prayer is all I can put my mind to doing. Prayer is what I am strong enough for, because, I am that woman.

Been busy lately

Well, in the months since I last wrote, we have been BUSY. My Joseph has transitioned from state funded EI to preschool and even got ESY without having to ask for it. Jared turned 8 and started school. The twins turned 3 and we had our meet and greet at preschool today. They start officially next week. Janae is in school and Joshua too. I have left my position with The Arc of Indiana (thank you Jill and John for th opportunity) and am now focused on my Bachelors taking two courses every 5 or 6 weeks until I fulfill my electives requirements come June or July. I have no idea what I will do when school is done. I am also Wolf Den leader for Jared's cub scouts troop. Let's hope it all goes well. I will try to update regularly but will make no promises. Here are the birthday cakes I made for the boys this year.
