I was so blessed to have wonderful fellowship with my cousin and great Aunt but also the fellowship of other Christian women who welcomed me wholeheartedly and allowed me the opportunity to worship and praise with them and, later, I had the ability to share my testimony with them and how my blog has been salt in the world to others.
God blessed me in ways this weekend my parched soul had been longing for since September 2011. I had adult time with other women, time to eat my meal (while it was warm); I got to sing praise, laugh, cry, and LOVE. We had wonderful entertainment provided for us by Woody and Vonnie Wright. Let me tell y'all something, if you have not seen Woody and Vonnie perform, you are missing out! Woody does a nearly UNBELIEVABLE impersonation of the late, great Possum, George Jones and when he's not singing, EXACTLY LIKE George you can hear Willie Nelson in his voice. Yes, I am a 37 year old, tattooed, rockin' momma, Christian music lover who also LOVES George Jones (and country, much to my husband's chagrin). I actually let out a laudable squeal when started singing like George!
I enjoyed myself so much, I am physically tired but my soul is renewed. My fire has been lit again. I have stated I will be the hands and feet of Jesus! I cannot thank Patty enough for asking me to speak at the retreat and I cannot thank God enough for the blessings He's given me this weekend.
So, if any of the Wabasher's are reading this....you ladies were WONDERFUL to be in fellowship with these past two days!
love,

"I will go before you and will level the mountains; I will break down gates of bronze and cut through bars of iron. I will give you hidden treasures, riches stored in secret places, so that you may know that I am the LORD, the God of Israel, who summons you by name." Isaiah 45:2-3 (NIV)
