Less than 24 hours

Well, tomorrow morning, bright and early, Jadon will be undergoing some extensive surgery to fix some congenital issues he was born with that affect him urologically. Hmm, that sounds really good :) took me a minute to get the wording right. Jadon was born with hypospadias (this may or may not be corrected), chordee, and needs circumcised as well since we have had issues ALREADY with paraphimosis. I will not explain all of these to you, if you'd like to know, you can check them out. I will warn you know, the latter is NOT PRETTY. Peanut will also have myringotomy performed while he is already under anesthesia. A HUGE, "THANK YOU", to Dr. Ronda for scheduling this the same day her own little girl is having surgery in the morning. I am grateful to have such great repoire with our doctors.

So, I am sharing this all (not to freak you out) but to humbly ask for prayers for Jadon. This should be an outpatient surgery. We should come home within hours following the surgery. I am prepared to stay and praying we don't. The last time Jadon was put out for surgery he wound up with an anesthesia induced pneumonia. I won't lie, I am terrified this will happen again. Seeing the PICU unit of nurses 'bag' your child in front of you and, literally, breathe for him is not something I would wish upon any mother.

Prayers for Jadon's lungs, his throat, his doctors (Cain and Hamaker), the nurses caring for him at Peyton Manning Children's Hospital in Indy, his mommy and her nerves are much appreciated :) He keeps me on my toes as it is...(definitely a 3 year old male!)

love,

Absolutely praying that everything goes smoothly and as planned and that he has no side effects of the anesthesia. Praying for your peace as you wait for him. Big hugs my friend!
