Maggie, take two...

As I have stated before many of my friends know this, but, I am not sure how many readers of my blog do however; shortly after returning home from Ukraine, I began selling Scentsy. Yes, I am an Independent Scentsy Consultant. I host fundraisers each month and donate 100% of my commission to the families adopting. Why? Well, because there was a gal named Stephanie H. that I met on Babycenter.com when I was carrying my twins and we were both in the same birth group after our babies were born that year.

I have never met Stephanie face to face, but, I will in just a few months :) However, when we were fundraising to adopt, Stephanie proposed to host a fundraiser for us and donate 100% of her commission to us as well. I was FLOORED. I had never heard of Scentsy but I was up for the party! Well, our fundraiser when GREAT. Stephanie totally knocked it out of the ballpark and she donated every penny from that fundraiser to us...and, she did it again right before we left to go to Ukraine to bring Jadon home. And, I love her for it.

While gone in Ukraine, I talked to Shawn about possibly selling Scentsy when we got home and settled...with just one caveat...I would not keep the money for our family. I wanted to help other families, just like ours who were working to bring home their child too. See, we are a one breadwinner family. My husband works to support all 6 of us. Four growing boys, one hungry husband and a chubby momma...the money doesn't go far in our home and I would never be able to return the favor, pay it forward, show the love (whatever you call it, it doesn't matter) if not for this opportunity. I am blessed to have the opportunity. I thank God for the blessings each month. Some months are puny, some are stellar but each one helps a child and a family. This is not about me and what I do, this is about God blessing me to be able to do it each month.

Well, in November and December I am not hosting a family for the first time in a year. I am going to do something a bit different, I am going to sponsor Maggie on Reece's Rainbow. I have never donated to a child WAITING on a family. She will be the first, and maybe only, child I will do this for these next two months. I need your help, if you buy Scentsy, please shop through my webpage. I'd love to really, REALLY bless Maggie. I'd love to see the ability to donate $1,000 to Maggie. I am praying for her daily. I have her pictures on my refrigerator. I see her every time I open it and get something out for someone in my family.

I will place a button on my side bar that will take you to my Scentsy webpage, please shop with me either singularly or as a part of Maggie's Party and share this post so that others can shop with me as well. I am completely transparent too, each family that I have helped has gotten proof of my commission each month. I will be doing the same each month for Maggie. I will post my commission record here and my email confirmation showing the donation made to her account. My commission for November will be paid on or near December 10th and December's commission paid on or near January 10th and the posts will follow as soon as I make the donations.

We have nothing to lose...she stands to have EVERYTHING to gain. Won't you help me help Maggie. If you'd rather make a donation right to Maggie and receive the tax credit too (all donations are 100% tax deductible) you can do so by clicking her name anywhere in the post. I've been where she survives, I know she needs a family. This is a great region to work in and a wonderful team to work with if you choose to use the team Reece's Rainbow utilizes in her country.

"I will go before you and will level the mountains; I will break down gates of bronze and cut through bars of iron. I will give you hidden treasures, riches stored in secret places, so that you may know that I am the LORD, the God of Israel, who summons you by name." Isaiah 45:2-3 (NIV)

Has Maggie found a family yet? Her eyes called to me and I contacted Reece's Rainbow about 1 month ago and unfortunately they can not do adoptions to South Africa where I live. I have thought of her often.

No she has not, at least not that I know of Cathy.

She is so beautiful. Her eyes are just. . . well, they are so expressive. I cannot believe no one has snatched her up.
