Right now, we are $3,600 shy of a truly fully fund that will totally alleviate the financial burden that accompanies adoption. Now, some people have heard we are fully funded. This is true, but a bit misleading too. If Alexander's country called tomorrow and said, "Hop a plane, ride a train, and snag a cab"...we could go. Without issue, we could do it. However, doing so would take every bit our our personal savings as well and leave us with nothing to support our family while we are overseas and my sister is caring for the twins and Jared.
We need our personal savings in place; we have also been contacted by a local grant offering here not far from our town. A Home For Every Child is the organization and I am praying God will bless us with some sort of grant too.
Some goodies already offered for our fundraiser includes: a lab-created sapphire and diamond pendant valued at $295, a Chili's giftcard, a floor mirror for therapy time, a tutu dress (wonder who is making that?) LOL, a beautiful Down syndrome awareness necklace, and a couple mystery items too.

Christie, thanks for the update! You know how much I LOVE give aways and therefore using the giveaways to send people to your blog. Anything to promote awareness and get you guys that much closed to bringing sweet AJ home!
