Columbia Sunglasses

Here we have the second item donated by 20/20 Vision owners Rick & Angela D. Angela has been collecting donations f0r Alexander since we began this journey with a chip-in container at the office. And if you are on Facebook, she also has a picture of Alexander set to her profile picture. Rick and Angela have two kids, Fletcher and Mary Caitlin (otherwise known as MC) and she is also Rockin' her extra 21st chromosome! I am proud to call Angela a friend and sister in this walk.

Before I knew you

I never knew what I was missing

I never knew love could be so pure

I never knew rolling over would make me cry

Before I saw your face

I never realized the beauty I was missing

I never realized how precious motherhood truly is

I never realized how my heart would swell in my throat when you cry

I was a mother once before you

But I was missing something

I think back now and wonder what your brother did

And what I shorted myself on during his infant years

Before you, those I thought were friends never said, “I’m sorry”

Before you, I never felt sorry for all of them

Before you I was not a bad person or a bad mommy but….

I am a better person for the time that has come since you came to me.

For my sweet Joseph, you have taught your mommy so very much and I love you all the more for it.

My Blessed Child
My child, my love.
You are my gift.
The one I never dreamed of.

So sweet and pure
With a smile to light the room
