Time is not a friend of mine or of any family adopting internationally. Needing the compliance of people who do not understand your urgency is a pain in the butt and a needless worry.
Diligence is paramount. Checking, faxing, waiting, rechecking, re-doing, notarizing, certifying, filing, apostilling (is that a word), mailing, paying, saving, raising...it all takes TIME.
My son is across the oceans waiting on me; time does not care. His region where he is surviving does not care. The institution does not care. His birthday is coming, time is passing. We literally do not know what we are up against where time is concerned. The uncertainty can be blinding, suffocating.
God knows. I received this from my stateside helper today, "God knows all about it all though."
Amen for that.

Thinking of Alexander everyday here. praying that all the paperwork gets done. All in God's time I know, yet it must be so hard. Hugs
