Friday, February 11, 2011 is the day we settled our commitment to Alexander. We had our AFD paper notarized and then we (meaning I) faxed and snail-mailed our information to Andrea to make it "official".
Waiting for our FSP to be announced through the weekend, Monday and Tuesday was excruciating. BUT, it happened and when it did it was WONDERFUL. I blew up my Facebook, Babycenter, my blog, emails; you name it, I was telling it!
Here we are today (Tuesday--because I am writing this blog early to set it to post tomorrow), now just 11 days later and we have our first homestudy appointment with Jackie D., our social worker. I am excited and frantic all at once.
So, even though you will be reading this on a Wednesday...
I will never forget our fabulous Friday!

Praying for you and Alexander daily. When I watched the video of Alexander, I think I had a similar reaction as you. I completely broke down at my computer. His smile completely melted my heart. I feel honored to follow your journey.
